Hello everyone, I know it has been a long time since I last posted. I have had a whirlwind year full of all types of bumps. Last July I came down with a *Plantar fasciitis in my left foot. For the next six months I could barely stand to walk, some days I could barely stand. Some days when I woke up, I would fall back in bed the pain was beyond bearable. Thank god my boss had experienced the same ailment so she was very understanding of the time that I took off. She understood my need to remain on the first floor, because I could not climb the stairs. I visited the podiatrist regularly and was given cortisone shots. If you have never had to have a cortisone shot consider yourself to be very lucky. Nothing I have experienced, other than maybe childbirth, has compared to that pain of these injections. Then for the next week you have pain at the injection site, because the Dr. Did not just inject the needle, he then moved it around inside your foot. The level of pain during the injection was so high that I had to have my son hold my leg in place in order for me to allow the Dr. To inject me. Then as if this little adventure was not fun enough, my right foot came down with the same thing. Luckily my regular Dr.prescribed me **Naproxen which took the pain away and allowed me to regain the usage of my feet.
One of the side effects of my foot issues was that I gained at least 30 lbs from a combination of inactivity, comfort food and depression. I am so sad that all my hard work was undone. I have decided to get back on the ball And work hard at losing this weight. As some of you who have been following my blog have noticed I had great success back in 2011 with losing weight using HCG Injections. I went from a size 22 to a size 16. My goal size is a 14. I don't want to be a little girl, I plike my curves, just want to reach a healthy state. I would tease my friends after I lost the weight and say thatI was a small big girl, but I really wanted to be a big small girl. I want to be small enough to be able to shop in all the clothes stores, and not just the big girl stores or plus size sections. I will speak more about my diet plans and goals in future blogs.
Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that i am back and will be publishing my blogs and to my Facebook page on a regular basis now.
Join me as I struggle to put my life back together following my ailment.
*Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. This tissue is called the plantar fascia. It connects the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the foot.
